ITV NC is not on a bbc/crown castle mux, so is not on "freeview"

However all free channels on DTT are marketed as part of the Freeview offering, regardless of whether the particular multiplex is operated by one of the shareholders of DTV Services.

I wouldn't expect much, they're altering the MUX's, so they can fit ITV1, ITV2, ITV3 and ITV News onto the same half of the Digital 3 & 4 MUX.

But it's likely Teletext on ITV will be appearing on all ITV channels in the Summer. (Shame it won't be on NTL! Evil or Very Mad )

The Text button doesn't work on NTL, only Analogue Text works. Whilst Teletext pulled out of Digital Cable in the middle of last year. Though in a way you don't blame them as it was hidden deep in Interactive, so very few knew about it, it also was quite slow. But now as Teletext is available easily by Channel 4 and soon by ITV, I think it should make a return.

ITV1 on DSat and DTT will be getting 'Teletext on ITV', so I presume the ITV News Channel will also be included in that deal.

Although they are marketed as being available FTA, by the Freeview marketing campaign, they aren't part of Freeview.

Freeview is technically just the BBC/BSkyB/Crown Castle enterprise - which is the 18Mbs 16QAM Muxes - 1,B,C,D.

The 24Mbs 64QAM Muxes - 2 and A - are the Digital 3/4 and SDN/Five muxes, and they aren't part of the Freeview operation.

Yes - the Freeview marketing campaign mentions ITV1/2, C4, Five etc. - but that doesn't mean they are part of Freeview.

That is just a longer-winded way of saying the same thing that I was saying... Very Happy

Anyway, the point is that as far as the consumer is concerned there is no distinction.
