ITV News Channel

Sorry if this has been mentioned a million time over, but to be honest, I cannot be bothered reading through a huge ITV News thread, but I would like to know if the ITV News Channel is coming back to Freeview? Just as I was trying to give it a chance all those months ago now, it disappeared, and despite promises of it being back in 'early 2005' on Freeview and reading rumours of May (for Scotland) on the forum, I am wondering if it will ever be back?

In brief - yes it will be back. When is anybodies guess.

They were saying it would be back in our region in the middle of May, yet still no sign.

Just a caption on the screen saying it will be back "in early 2005".

Another two days and it won't be "early 2005" by ANY stretch of ANYBODY'S imagination.

It hasn't ever left in the London area...

Is it back on in Wales (North Wales to be precise!) yet?

The Wrekin transmittter, which can be picked up in some areas of N.Wales has turned the ITV NC back on....

Or if you live in North East Wales and point to Winter Hill it is back on there, Central, Granada and Yorkshire regions got the ITV NC back within days of each other.

When I rang the duty office a couple of weeks back, they said Meridian was now mid-July. Although I wouldn't bet on it.
