I just have to ask if the BBC had made the same mistake would someone have set up a thread especially about it?
Indeed, I can't verify they did this but according to someone in the Saddam Hussain thread - posted three days after the event - News 24 were saying he had been "beheaded" on their ticker after the event - a much bigger mistake in my book - down to stupidity rather than inaccuracy!

I much prefer ITV News to BBC.I grew up with BBC News my parents always watched it .But i always liked ITN better and it's the Newsreaders that do it for me .I find Sophie on the BBC very jolly hockey sticks and she talks at you instead of to you .I prefer Katie D anyday and as for Geraint Vincent pure totty.
