Fine! I won't mention a newscaster's attire again!

Ok thank you I was curious as I saw some clips on YouTube from the red and blue era, when it was Dermot Murnhagan, Sir Trevor McDonald, Nicholas Owen and Mary Nightingale were the main presenters, and there was an evening news with Bill alongside Katie Derham they both had VO. There was also an edition with John Suchet & Kirsty Young.
That set beats the set from 2009-12 by miles even though it's a decade older than it.

Bill Neely used to be regular cover back then, probably on the ITV Evening News as often as the likes of Ranvir was (in the double headed days)

I don't really recall him co-hosting that much but he certainly was a regular on the weekend news for a time - I think he rotated with Andrea Catherwood and a third person (possibly James Mates) during the Theatre of News era, though don't think that arrangement lasted too long with Andrea leaving and James and Bill taking on more high profile correspondent roles.

Yes I think you are right, I knew he was fairly regular in some capacity rather than very rare.

Must be a decade or so now since ITV had a sports presenter on the Saturday bulletins. Didn't Felicity also host sport on the News at Ten Thirty?

Yes. She was also a presenter of the general news.
