ITV Creative aren't going to be designing technical aspects of a catch up product Rolling Eyes ITV Hub is about a brand identity. Let's leave it there.

"The ITV Hub was designed by ITV’s in-house agency, ITV Creative, with Creative Director Jon Yeo."

Yeah let's leave it there.

Nice to see Mark still able to be as relaxed at the end of the 6:30 as he was with Julie at 10! Great back to the future story

I like the way they are introducing light hearted comments at the end, last night with 'Huarracane Mary' and tonight with the BTTF day photos. It works on the regionals so I can't see why it can't work on the national, and is a bonus of double headed bulletins.

'As a nation we're getting fatter'. Nice to know Tom Bradby did that research himself... Rolling Eyes
bkman1990 and CoreyLHughes gave kudos

As long as it remains secondary it's fine. Mark and Mary were always a fine partnership and unlike many of the regions any banter comes across as completely natural, unlike some of the regions. I did like the Hurricane Mary stuff too - suspect Mark was just jealous they didn't name that one after him!

One criticism of tonights bulletin though - thought it was in bad taste tonight in the Coming Up sequence to switch from a story about ex-servicemen who had lost limbs trying to defuse bombs to an explosion filled scene from Spectre.

P.S. Talking of Mary she must be one of the longest serving main presenters of the same flagship news programme in ITV history, having been the main co-host of the Evening News certainly since 2004, and before that job-sharing with Katie Derham from 2002. Other presenters have been part of a programme team which rotated presenters for around the same time or longer, but from what I can see only Alastair Burnet and Sandy Gall rival her in terms of longevity as the main host of a programme.

Hasn't she been the main newscaster on the Evening News since Kirsty Young left in 2001? I thought Katie Derham was just a relief presenter on the programme.

No, officially they shared the role until 2004.

Quite surprised ITV News felt the funeral of a policeman in Liverpool warranted the Evening News being anchored on location. C4 News didn't even have it as one of their main headlines.

Tweet from "ITV News Insider" that the fire alarm has gone off at ITN, could be an interesting lunchtime news.

Seems to happen quite a lot at GIR and always seemingly just before the Lunchtime News. The only time it's ever caught them short is when Julie had to decamp to Milbank for a solo News at Ten around 5 years ago.

The NaT decamp was power, IIRC.

A C4 lunchtime had to come off air due to the alarm a few years ago.
