Not 'from', just the 16th September, at Ten will show the highlights. News at Eleven. However the 17th is back to normal. the 18th is News at 10:15 because of the Rugby.

Ah! Someone on another forum has said that it will be broadcast every Wednesday at 11.00pm

Just read that from 16 September, News at Ten will be on at Eleven, to make way for UCL highlights. If this is true, then I'm not impressed at all

Yes every Wednesday during Champions League match weeks, News at Ten will be at Eleven.

It makes sense really as otherwise the football highlights, which are a big deal considering up to now live games were free not just highlights, would be at 10:40 getting a tiny audience. Showing them at 10 is making them more centre stage.

Yes it disrupts News at Ten but that's just something they will have to happen.

In Germany, the main two channels will generally air a shorter (5-7 minute) bulletin during any live football and a full program later on in the evening. They could have considered this as an option, so that 'News at Ten' technically stays where it is, while at the same time, the football doesn't get shunted too late...

I notice there were no headlines sequence on Sunday's teatime bulletin. A rare occasion when the news slot was tight for time rather than padded out beyond belief like it usually is. Also an usually less mainstream presenter for a Sunday as well.

The cycling overran in the afternoon though as they replaced a 45-minute Catchphrase with a 30 minute Secret Treasures it shouldn't have made much difference.

I quite like this idea, you might get the odd viewer sticking around after the Footy finishes too...

So? It's not unheard of. Think about the staff behind the scenes who regularly work 12-hour shifts!

Ranvir even does GMB and then the 6:30 and 10 on many Fridays.

Sorry, why the attitude? I thought that was the point of the thread to a degree?
