One of these days I would really love it if they could close an anniversary programme with Non Stop instead of the usual music. We’ve had old versions of the News at Ten theme but Non Stop hasn’t been heard for decades. Granted, now probably isn’t the time for jolly end music but let’s hope for the 70th anniversary.

Does anyone else find it weird that Julie seems to get all the anniversaries, despite Tom being Lead Anchor?

Nothing more than coincidence I'm sure.
Turns out nobody had 2020 vision.

100%.

Besides, there does appear to be a tendency for people on this forum, to read a little too much into things (or to give voice to speculation that is often wide of the mark).

No judgement, just an observation.

Lead? I thought he and Julie alternate as the 10pm newsreaders? They seem to do about the same amount of days.

Nope, Tom’s definitely the ‘Lead’. Ironic to have a bbc article on it!

Interesting. It feels like Tom and Julie both do about the same.

Out of interest, how many of the regions have now returned to dual presenters?

I know Meridian and Westcountry.

Hi mate, UTV Live. Channel TV and Anglia. Not Central and Tyne Tees/Lookaround yet and Granada due to the sad passing of Tony Morris.

Thank you. I didn’t want to mention Granada due to the loss of Tony.
