He didn’t only work at ITN. He also worked at Sky Sports News and STV News and GMTV very briefly, if I’m not mistaken.

I could imagine Tom Bradby falling out with Tom Bradby over who read the first headline.
I could imagine Mark Austin falling out with Mary or Julie over who read the first headline.

The new logo for the Facebook and Twitter pages has been in use on Instagram for a while, it’s very similar to the Sky News logo.
The ITV News virtual studio still looks fairly modern and doesn’t need too much of an update, but the on screen graphics are starting to look a little tired in my opinion.

If ITN could develop a nice live action view of their newsroom, it would be great if they replaced the current VR generated newsroom with a real newsroom view, if there are to be any tweaks and changes to ITV News in January. A real newsroom backdrop always feels better. BBC News tried the fake newsroom backdrop from 2008 and it looked bad.
The current ITV News look is actually still really good, but a little refresh of the newsroom backdrop would enhance it more, in my opinion.
My favourite ITV News backdrop has to be the spectacular atrium view from January 2006, really good and it looked superb on the curved virtual newswall in the studio.

I think the fake atrium looked awful in the "theatre of news", mainly because it was a very square space projected on to a curved wall - it just looked awkward. However it would suit the current studio more, and is clearly part of the virtual design, but more to the sides and more visible on News at Ten and the Election Night coverage.
Now that news presentation has kind of done a complete 180 and gone back to the simplicity of 20+ years ago it would be easier to do a real set, but obviously give them much less flexibility when it comes for using it outside of news. Who knows - could be an election and referendum next year?

They could have a nice window into the newsroom like the BBC had from 1999-2003. They could have a looped view of the newsroom or have various ones for the times of day. Something a bit different to the computer generated newsroom they have now, with the empty chairs next to the bank of television screens. Something like that could refresh the news look without altering too much the rest of the appearance.
I think live newsroom backdrops can be quite distracting sometimes. Looking at what some other European broadcasters are doing these days, I'm not sure that's the direction ITV News wants to be heading in?
