for the regional sites, do you think they will leave them green and blue?
also is the london site the only one that is updated several times a day with the most content? yorkshires site only has about an average of 2 stories a day on the site.

also http://blog.itv.com automatically directs you to the london weather blog.

anyone know why the headlines don't appear on the lunchtime news?

In the introduction to the ITV News at 1.30. How come it doesn't say 'This is the ITV News at 1.30 with..., instead it just says 'This is the ITV News with...?

It was originally going to be announced as the "ITV News at 1.30" but it was decided that as the programme usually goes to air at 13:28, it wouldn't be accurate. So, the decision was made to use the generic 'ITV News' voiceovers instead.

what happened to the 'main five' presenters appearing on a Sunday, then? or was that only during the X Factor?

Thats a bit silly really, its just on a pure pedantic level. Most people would round 1.28pm up to 1.30pm anyway

Maybe they've realised that James, Nina or Steve can handle the bulletins well on Sundays.
Keeping the main five to weekdays makes sense.

Obviously that policy doesn't extend to the 10pm bulletin, which rarely (if ever) begins at exactly 10pm.

Its been a while since ive seen Mary, Mark, Katie and Julie on the weekend bulletins - have any of them presented this year so far?

It does make sense keeping them to weekdays tho - they have more than enough work on weekdays. Steve, Nina, Romilly and James do an excellent job at weekends. Not seen Chris Ship or Geraint Vincent present for a while either although cant claim to have watched every bulletin!

The difference is that NAT never starts before 10pm, whereas TX for the lunchtime bulletin is 13.28. I think viewers can understand programmes starting a few minutes in (especially on commercial channels), but are less forgiving of programmes which begin before the start time as billed.

Of course it would be easier all round if the bulletin was just moved to 13.30.

If I'm that worried about missing the start of a programme, I usually tune in a few minutes before. I don't hit '3' on the remote at the exact second.

The majority of people who watch the 1.28pm bulletin are probably those who have hung on from Loose Women. The reason it starts earlier than billed is because regional news runs over to about 2.05pm, so pushing it back 2 minutes would make the show after it start even later.

On another note, I think it works better to have different teams for weekdays and weekends- eventually some of the main five will leave and they'll need to be replaced. Unless its an overhaul (like January 2008 News at Ten) the chances are someone from the weekend team will become part of the main five. It gets viewers used to them so it isn't too big a change or difference. Viewers don't necessarily respond well to change or unrecognisable faces in higher profile slots. Plus it works better for weekday cover and I guess it stops Nina etc finding permanent work elsewhere.

Geraint is scheduled to present next Saturday. Don't think we will ever see Lucy meacock again. Also don't think we will ever see bill neely or sally bidulph present again.

Was looking through the tv newsroom site and noticed daisy mcandrew use to present, was that a one off?
