Rumours of ITN involvement in GMTV have been circulating within the company for quite a while.
Thanks itsrobert. Although I'm still waiting until I here anything confirmed by ITV or ITN... it certainly will be interesting to see what ITV do with GMTV should ITV News come into the equation. I suppose at the very least GMTV's news team will be scrapped in favour of the cheaper ITN option. At the other end of the spectrum is the possibility of GMTV being scrapped entirely, replaced by an ITV News-branded breakfast programme - although I must say that I think this idea seems unlikely to happen. It would pave the way for a "Live with Alastair Stewart"-type programme though, and I do miss my early morning Big Al fix.

...I didn't realise this thread had turned into a stalker's union meeting.
But all I'm saying is that it's wrong for people to jump to conclusions and to believe that the speculation from certain sectors of the press is certain (in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the printed story from "insiders" originated from the discussions on this very forum...)
