BTW, like the sig.

Why thank you. I'll relay that to the team at the Metropol Lab. There's a new series of them coming soon.

And by extension thanks Razz

Back on topic, has this been shown before?

And shouldn't all research be done prior to the bulletin anyway? Katie just reads off an autocue (which she has probably had input to), as do all other newsreaders.

And if the autocue was to fail?

Theres a computer under the desk. Highly unlikely that both will fail at the same time

Have you considered that the newsreaders are required to cross through all the scripts to make it clear they've been used, meaning they can be binned/ recycled/ shredded quickly and without some researcher worrying about it being the right one?

I never said that was untrue, or anything to hint towards that. It just makes me laugh sometimes thats all because it looks very exaggerated the way she does it, and noone else seems to.

The computer does not show the autocue, that would require the presenter to actually FIND it in ENPS and FIND where they are.

Anybody know what the new theme is called from that lovely library?

It's called News Centre, but it's not on the library. Well it was, but they removed it shortly after it was uploaded.

Cheers for that Rob. I've emailed them and asked if it's been renamed/removed.

It has been removed because it ended up on Youtube, EMI (the owners) will only send it to people they KNOW are in the media now.

Like you? *cough*

As I have said before, because people uploaded it in full, that is not in full and I asked Dave Hewson if I could do it anyway, so I don't think it matters. And get that cough sorted out, you might have swine flu.

Nothing to stop required info being on there though. Well in fact it probably is, they're hardly going to be on Facebook.

Totally agree (although just for the record, ITN phased out ENPS in 2007 and now uses iNews).

The monitors located inside the desk show the running order and news wires.

As for Julie crossing through her scripts, I think this is just personal habit, and probably shouldn't be read into too much? It certainly isn't a requirement.

Yes, I vaguely remember the article about Avid systems being brought in. I just say ENPS for all News automation systems. The ITV Regions still use ENPS and the northern regions use Clarity with ENPS Integratio (Granada, TT&B ect.).

Did you also get the permission of Bill Baylis? Not to mention Johnny Pearson?

No, I didn't, however, now you mention it I will try and contact them through the PRS. It only said D Hewson in the composer/arranger box, forgot about the others.
