Does anybody have a video of the day that Mark Austin presented the ITV News at 1.30? I was in college that day and iv never seen him present the Lunchtime bulletin.
But you've seen him host other bulletins, so what exactly do you think you've missed out on?
According to itvnewsinsider on Twitter, Trevor McDonald recorded the DEC appeal for ITV today - much prefer this choice over Myleene Klass. Kirsty Young will be presenting the BBC's version.
EDIT: already posted in the DEC appeal thread. Not able to delete this post for some reason
EDIT 2: the news at 10:30 tonight, pushed to that slot because of Popstar to Operastar... ... on a side note, the news was mentioned in the ident before Coronation Street. That's the third time I've heard the ITV1 continuity announcer plug the 10:30 bulletin today.

ITV Plugging the ITV news tonight LOADS! - Continuity announcer mentioning it at every possible point and I'm sure I saw an advert for it during one of the breaks of Corrie/DOI.
3 Nights of consecutive issues for News At Ten,
Wednesday: Power Cut
Thursday: Issues with Bill Neely in Port Au Prince
Friday: Mark Austin connection issues
And they say things come in threes
Er, no.
Not sure why, possibly a change in attitude, but Nina was better when she was with BBC London.
Er, no.
Nina is much better suited to national bulletins on ITV1. Whatever the merits of BBC London, there's something quie cheap-looking and low-budget about its presentational style (IMO). The presenters always look so awkward sat at their desks.
I'm not suggesting that the BBC local bulletins are of a higher standard or higher profile than ITV's national ones.
As for the BBC London bulletins, I think they were better when Emily and Nina were presenting them than they are now, and I preferred Nina's presentation style then than her current style.
I disagree with ITVnewsfan's assertion that Mark and Nina are the best pairing, I don't think it's even the best pairing involving Nina.
I set the DVD timer to record the early morning repeat of the Tonight programme (I missed the first showing) and it had included the ITV News summary in the recording, shown probably at about 2:15, presented by none other than... Nina Hossain. Is this the first time a senior newscaster has appeared on overnight news on ITV? I don't know who did the 5:30 news and I assume whoever presented that bulletin couldn't get in to present the earlier summary.
