Yeah, that's what I'm assuming. Were the titles at the end what they usually use too, or do they usually just have a wide studio shot?

Wide studio shot is normally used to close the summaries.

Hmm, presumably some studio work going on, lighting adjustments or something.

Quick random thought.

Would it really cost too much to get BDA to re-edit the title sequence so it becomes smoother? I doubt this sequence worth as much as the London flyover. I still find the animation between the 'hero panels' very jerky.

And the studio backdrop still lacks the depth that the superb NaT one had. It's just very flat...

I think the panels would look so much better than they currently do if rather than the camera turning to see new panels, if it was just in a straight line (giving the illusion as though you're walking down a corridor) and 'walking past' different panels, and then the final panels moving to reveal the presenters. It would be better than it seeming like a maze.

Do we think yellow will be forgotten about for one night? (If you understand what I'm on about.) Wink

Perhaps that might look better... I may try my hand at a "mock" just to see how it looks that way, although I think the current title sequence would look so much better if the animation speed was sorted out. The idea is great but the execution could've been a little better.

Well yellow is pretty much forgotten on most general election coverage anyway. Wink

Looks like they have no autocue - Julie looking down to read a lot.

Probably won't be seeing any other camera angles tonight, just a close up of Julie.

She's handling it very well. Some people are flustered and all over the place when things don't go right.

A good and informative 6:30 bulletin - but jeez, let's hope they tone down the 'human interest' approach a bit for News at Ten. Nice to see Mark Austin "reporting" - well, it's more of a plug for the Tonight programme but he is great when out of the studio.

Anyone else find those Confused.com sponsorships far more annoying than (dare I say it?) Sheila's Wheels?! Laughing

Just to clear up the confusion over the morning summaries on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday - they came from Studio 2 and used the old News Channel gallery due to the Election rehearsals going on in Studio 1 and the normal gallery. That's why they didn't use any wideshots and also used a different sting to open/close.

Nothing could be more annoying than them Sheila's Wheels ad's!

I suppose the 'human interest' approach is more of the norm now. But some of tonights reports were really moving.

So Julie's already out of a job on Tonight then!! Laughing

That explains it then. I think Julie tweeted the other day , that she was in early for election rehearsals! God they start early enough!! Laughing
