It's interesting that the ITV News Insider mentions NBC being based in the ITV Newsroom. I didn't realise NBC had moved their London bureau (however big that may be) into Gray's Inn Road.

Usual people moaning then about people standing up - it's ridiculous. How would them introducing it being sat down make things any different. It's all about making the intro stand out - and the close up/distant shot of the presenters really does that in the simplest of ways.

But it's bloody pointless. We only see them standing up for five seconds so why do they even bother? As for making the intro 'stand out' - surely that opening bong effect suffices?

If they must stand up for a few seconds then why not bring the set a little closer - it's far too distant in that opening shot.

Charlene White did the lunchtime news today. Does anyone know who did the evening news?

Also Julie golt into the newsroom and tweted on Christmas Day at around 8am, why doesn't she do the lunhctime bulletin??

I doubt she would have been in the newsroom that early when she wasn't on until the evening news around 5.45pm. She probabaly went in early afternoon.

I would imagine that Twitter uses Pacific Standard Time unless told to do otherwise, so the tweet would have been at around 4pm.

It was posted at around 4pm.

I was dissapointed to see that ITN didn't have a Christmas ident at the end of their Christmas day or evening bulletins... not unless I didn't see it.

They do - they've been using a version of the blue endcap with falling snow added to it. It's very discreet, but it's there.
