Having not seen any of the other regions, I am surprised they kept the same music. I was expecting something aligned to the new ITV News music.
I doubt ITV have much interest in or dedication to regional news anymore - evident from the lack of new music and the utilisation of paltry titles and graphics. I've warmed to the set design since Calendar here in Yorkshire adopted it (I guess only because it reminds me of the chevron and the old YTV presentation!) and I think it's alright, but that's the only thing.

There is no need for News At Ten to have a separate identity. ITV are simply reinforcing their brand, like any other company would do. BBC does it with their News At Ten, so does Sky.

I'd agree with you on the set. Although the all yellow backdrop could do with being broken up or toned down, overall it does give a greater impression of a professional news operation. Then the titles appear...
The graphics, particularly the astons, are a definite step backwards.
Also, Anglia appear to be the first region to use new images, as there are quite a few new images in the titles. Also, a coincidence that they swapped a day after Look East's new studio?
