Odd that London Tonight is yet to receive the yellow peril treatment considering they were first last time. Perhaps a sign they might get a new set, and the yellow lighting on the other sets is just a temporary measure?
London Tonight WILL be getting a revamp in early December, now that could be next week...
Thursday mabye - they seem to like doing it midweek!!

Yeah maybe they do seem to be updating in a very peculiar way... I guess if London gets it then that's what everyone else will be having.

That's the sort of attitude that annoys the 90% of the population who don't live in London!
Why
should
London have been first to receive the re-lit regional news set? Why should the new look only be
confirmed
when they actually get it?
When it comes to regional news, London is just another region; no more or less important than any other!
I think you may have missed the beginning of the conversation there.
Firstly, it would be fair to assume London would get revamped first as it's in-house at ITN, and last time around they did get the new set first. And as such, I posed the question that perhaps as other regions received it first, perhaps a complete new set was being planned for the regions and the "yellow peril" was just a temporary measure.

One of the best weekend bulletins in a long time. Surprised to see Nina presenting, but glad to see her rather than a "face of itv news". Also I like how we see more specialist correspondents on a weekend. It was the best itv news bulletin since the brand realignment.
I don't know if its just me, but I actually think Nina is quite recognised on ITV.
she is the next down from the faces of itv news. She should be doing Fridays again and a relief presenter. I don't like how they get, for instance, Mary to cover for katie. Nina should cover.

They want their top presenters to cover all programmes. I agree Nina should be part of them, but that's not what ITV want.
I also find it strange that the A list presenters on both ITV and Sky are all white. I have no problem with that, but they should appeal to a wider range audience than white middle class.
Also to bring in someone like Julie when, in my opinion Nina is a far better newscaster with more authority was overlooked. Nina however, doesn't seem to be what she was when she first joined ITV News.
My point I was trying to make, why should ITV have someone covering on Fridays, when its in their best interests to put their top 5 presenters on as often as possible. Nina though should have been included within the ITV News top presenters.
Ive only seen the main 5 presenting any of the weekday bulletins since the new look. And on weekends the only others ive seen are Steve, Chris, Romily and Nina - not seen Geraint present yet.
it will be interesting to see the rota's for the Christmas period - they should be in the Radio Times when that goes on sale next week. I wonder if a face of ITV News will do Christmas Day - last year it was Katie! Perhaps Mary or even Julie this year?
Because Nina lives in the midlands I guess it is harder for her to get down on regular bases. Although she doesn't play a main part in the weekday schedules she has been playing a promininet role in London Tonight. My only fault with Nina is that she doesn't seem to bond imo very well with co-anchors and presents better on her own.
