As predicted somewhere earlier in the thread (I think), the summary titles were used to introduce the news at 5:45pm. Steve Scott was the presenter but there was no voiceover or newscaster credit - in fact, no credits at all, it seemed like an extended news summary.

Much better suited to a Weekend bulletin. Full blown titles and voiceover not needed for a bulletin of that length.
In fact I think the summary titles are nicer than the main titles. I still can't get used to the main titles - the camera movements seem to flutter too much between fast and slow.
Odd that London Tonight is yet to receive the yellow peril treatment considering they were first last time. Perhaps a sign they might get a new set, and the yellow lighting on the other sets is just a temporary measure?

Or the fact this is an unofficial revamp coined by ITV Central and they don't want London to find out.

surely they wouldn't go to the bother of "the yellow peril treatment " and instead gradually replace the sets.
Why would they go to the expense of a temporary change ??
It's just a change in lighting. I imagine if new studios were bought in later the titles and astons wouldn't change again, like in 2004 where initially they just introduced the titles/graphics for existing sets (though tweaked slightly to be more corporate) before a standard set was introduced.

London Tonight WILL be getting a revamp in early December, now that could be next week...
