Hmm. Dropping News at Ten for movies?? Haven't we been here before?
Wonder if it might be wise to go for a full News at Ten on a Sunday, perhaps ditching it on a Friday where a 9-11pm slot for movies might be of more value.

Cant imagine them doing that esp after all the trouble they went to to put News at Ten on a Friday.
Its good they are using the main 5 on Sundays - Saturdays seems to be the only day when we get someone other than the main 5 presenting - the only time we get to see Romily, Geraint etc.

Especially makes sense too when the BBC often use random faces from News 24 at the weekend too (though to be fair, it's usually the same few now and as they've been doing it a while, they're not exactly strangers too terrestrial viewers).

Well they're already ditching it on Friday for the next two weeks. Yes, ideally it would remain Monday to Friday, but if it was installed permanently on Sunday I wouldn't object so much to the Friday edition being pushed later - and I suspect from a commercial point of view the 9-11pm slot on Friday may be more valuable to ITV than it is on Sunday - not so much for playing out new content, but more for sneaking in cheap repeats and films.

I remember when nina was presenting on a sunday, before the new look, and natalie pirks ended her report with news at ten, not itv news.

Seems Romily will present the News @ 11 - I knew it must a one off - Mark couldn't posiibly do 2 weekend bulletins !!
Are they having 3 presneters today then?? Who did the lunchtime news today ?

Matt Teale presented the lunchtime news.
According to my sky epg, the itv.com tv guide and the radio times, steve was scheduled to present the evening and late bulletins today.
ITV/ITN are really lowering Marks status, he is the head anchor, and know he is not the main presenter for the evening bullet-ins, and he presents a weekend bullet-in. He is the HEAD ANCHOR, it is obvious he is not happy.

What's a bullet-in? What's a HEAD ANCHOR?
a bulletin/bullet-in is basically an output of a live programme, for example, itv news at ten, is the late news bulletin for itv, its like an episode, but live.
A head anchor is someone who is the most commonly known anchor, ie mark austin, the deputy for itv is ment to be mary, however it looks more like julie. Its really just a name tag, but it should be worth something.

Does any one have any mocks of split screens; I didn't see any on friday when geraint was crossing over to a correspondent.

The driest anchors always seem to be the top anchors. Julie and Mark very boring. Alistair and Mary much better. Katie just slobs over the desk these days.
