I think the jib has been in use on the News at 1.30 since the first day of the revamp - although I've only managed to watch two editions of that programme - I presume the jib is still present on the lunchtime bulletin?

The jib is usually in use at lunchtime, however sometimes, like the first day of launch, it's not in use. It's usually a jib job however.

But the jib was in use on the first day of the revamp. I was just wondering whether or not it is still present at lunchtime.

Of course the jib was used on the first day! I've been mixing it up with the opening shot where the VO announces what and who, which was just the 5:30 News shot on the first day, but as far as I can tell, the jib is in use at 1:30 still.

OK - thanks a lot.

Loved the trailer for News at Ten in which they mentioned the commemorative £5 coin with the image of Big Ben on it - rather ironic, isn't it... - and at the end of the trail they cut back to Julie, standing next to a massive screencap of the CGI clockface from the previous titles: "All those stories and the rest of the day's news, at - as the clock says - the usual time". Mark said, "Well worth tuning in for". Laughing

Hmm. When hasn't there been a jib camera used on the 1.30 since the revamp?

Could they be refering to this very site?

I've decided I don't like the new look. It looks way too fake and CGI - even the desk!! The graphics are awful, and watching on Sky makes the picture quality terrible. Truly dire.

The opening is weak.

See my edit here: http://tinypic.com/r/2igcg20/4 Which would be far better IMO.
