Given that London Tonight is now originating from PCR1 and Studio 2 immediately before 6.30pm, I'd assume that it's going to have to be live every night from now on. Unless they pre-record them before 6.00pm, in which case they could be out of date by the transmission time, so that's probably unlikely.
IIRC the last couple of minutes of LT are pre-rec'd. The bongs at 6.30 will always be live now.
Was the opening bong sequence live today then? Surely if it was pre-recorded they would have sorted the titles/panels out before they aired?

I just said that, didn't I?

I noticed Tyne Tees & Border wrapped up their news programme at 6.27 yesterday evening whereas London was still on air... strange.
Now they share studios I wouldn't be surprised if with the impending revamp they take the weather out of the regional news and air it afterwards, then reinstate an ident at 6.30pm too.

Great news! ITV's 2008 coverage really was superb.

Great news. Finishing at 05:30, presumably followed by Morning News. I was wondering whether they would tweak the main news studio like in 2008, I was rather curious of what they could do with it, although surely if the 05:30 is on they're obviously to be using an alternative studio.

I hope itv have got some good graphics, as I loved the 2008 & 2010 graphics, but do they not usually use the graphics for election reports during the news programmes?
Also, what studio will they be using? Because isn't Channel 5 in the spare studio? Unless they just the use the current studio, I mean is the Late LT live? If yes, then I suppose there's no reason as to why the can't just do both shows in the same studio. Although I imagine doing a 29 minute national news show is little different to a 7 minute regional bulletin.
