Would like to see the new studio based on the Election 2010 studio, minimal but not boring!

It was great for election night, but it would be far too dull, dark and dingy to be used all year round - especially on daytime bulletins with that black background and floor! I actually did like the current look when it first launched, it felt quite fresh and wonderfully cohesive... the music was also a welcome change after the overly-percussive and cold 2006 theme. But everything grew quite stale quite quickly for me. I'd love a NAT style look for the next relaunch. That studio and those graphics really have become the benchmark...

(Thanks to The Ident Gallery for these!)

I think we've established this was my favourite era behind the 1995-1999 look - does anyone else have a favourite era of ITV News they'd like to see reworked for 2013?

Yep that still looks fresh, the best virtual look they ever had. Before we went into the car park, with it's dismal greys and yellow lines.

With tweaks, the election set could work, especially the desks they had!

It's far too dark, though. The desks were simply the normal style of desks the National News use, but in a different shape. And seeing as they were to accommodate many guests at once, and ITV News don't have multiple guests in the studio, normally, they just aren't necessary.

The NaT look from 2008 is also my favourite. That was a very nice look for ITV News.

I think they should go back to having the set within the newsroom as they had in the early 90s.

So the last two days, all ITV News bulletins have come from London's studio with the same presenter? could this be the future then when London move into the national studio? Ie. the same presenters on national & london news? This practice is already in place on some bulletins like Daybreak & lunchtimes.

But how are they doing the opening & closing shots? It's confused me? Do we know when national will return to their studio? If they don't go back tomorrow how will this work with london tonight & news at 6:30 they are straight after each other with no break expect the headline sequence.

It looks as if the 5:30 news was in the London studio this morning.

Pre-recorded.
Check out the end of one of the bulletins yesterday, no capture sorry. James bounced his script as he signed off close shot, cut to wide shot and his hands were placed firmly on desk.

I'd love to see the 1995 look reworked. It's my favourite era of ITV News presentation ever.

Get rid of the quote brackets around the links because I have tried it doesn't work. I had to highlight the actual link from https to the last serial number to get it working.

Get rid of the attitude! It works fine in neon.
