And this is how the London Today bulletin following the Lunchtime News is done every weekday, so they're quite efficient at switching between the two.
It would be nigh on impossible for a presenter to change studios that quickly. ITV News is in the basement while ITV London is two floors above on the ground floor. There would then have to be time for camera and sound adjustments when the presenter reached the second studio.

It didn't seem like the Lunchtime ITV News/London Today arrangement today though. i.e Both just done from the ITV News studio. IIRC earlier you had a wide shot of the London Tonight studio and then come the national news you had wide studio shots of the ITV News studio. on oepning and closing. So the only logically way is that the national news opening/closing was prerecorrded ( although I know this is often the case) but unusally it must have come from the LT studio? Hope that makes sense!!

I noticed on the 5:30am news this morning that it looked different I just couldn't quite out my finger on what it was! The long shot over the announcer was static and I'm sure it usually slightly zooms and the background for the rest of the programme looked different too.

Also has Sangeeta Kandola left ITN, I know she's just freelance but haven't seen her do any presenting or reporting for a few months now. I've not seen on her london, the 5:30 news or the odd time I've watched the FYI news updates.
