Picking up the News at Ten (Thirty) debate from the Alastair Burnett thread - I don't mind it being moved the odd Friday and it is just bad luck it isn't on when Alastair Burnett has died, but I do think it's a mistake that they're not hitting the 10pm start in two of the most newsworthy weeks of recent times considering there is a lot to cover from a news angle in the build up to the Olympics.
Superstar could easily have aired at 8.30pm this week, with displaced Corrie filling the 8pm slots where required - and considering the BBC are managing not to move their 10pm news during the Olympics other than for the opening ceremony (though that is a channel switch rather than time switch) I see no reason for ITV to move theirs. I think even during the "News at When" era they didn't move it for a full week.
