Even if it is entirely virtual, they would have had to have shot the pan and ran it through the VR software anyway

No, not necessarily. If it is indeed Studio 1 being used, it could merely be a version of the virtual studio design including the desk, which is being manipulated as usual by the VR kit. In fact, the more I look at it the more that desk looks virtual.

The second one has a better build up to the theme, which is currently on the Ten.

Also, we know the studio has CSO problems, yet they don't seem to have it on this?

Maybe I'm wrong, but that whole thing looks virtual, even the desk. I wouldn't be surprised if that's Studio 1, which is entirely green without a desk.

You can see her shadow on the desk, which can't have been done virtually.

Right at the start, it looks like there is a slight issue, but the resolution on the video is too low to see it.

I think that was her shadow interfering with the VR?

I don't think so, as the shadow only affected the desk and the plinth. It would have affected everything else otherwise.

It looks like her shadow has affected the bottom third of the yellow box, not the middle third but part of the top third.

So are you saying the desk is or isn't there?

I'm saying the desk is there and the virtual panels are on it.

Oh, good, we agree then.

To my own opinion, I Don't really realise that the 'Photo's of the day' changes everyday, there is always photo's of politics and either afghanistan, I can't wait until the next Itv news re-brand Smile

I don't think returning to the ITN brand would be counterproductive, I think it would give some gravitas which the 'ITV News' brand will always struggle to get.

Well the return of 'News at When' isn't going to help them gain Gravitas. NAT is being moved to 10.30pm for the entire week (July 16th-20th), to make way for ''Superstar'' Rolling Eyes I wonder hom Mark and Julie feel about it?

I think Itv News set and look needs a major rebrand! Virtual is over with!

Itv need to go back to a normal studio or newsroom look IMO.

The virtual look is getting tired and boring as far as Itv is concerned.

They're getting paid for it and they'll be going out to a larger audience than usual (it always performs better at 10.30pm).
