A news flash with Alastair at 6pm on the Duke of Edinburgh been taken to hospital with a bladder infection before handing over to the regional news

We got some special diamond jubilee titles here for Calendar, Did everyone else?

Yep London have been running them since Friday - inserting images of the Queen into the "windows" in the titles. Surprised they don't do that a bit more often given it must be fairly easy to do, I can only remember seeing it once before.

Thanks, I havent seen the regional news since thursday, Yes the titles are very simple they should do it more often for events or daily like on the national news to make them a bit more interesting

Genuine question, why do you wish to seek such information?

I didn't see the 8pm bulletin on BBC One on Friday. Was it on? I don't know. Why would I need to know? I have no idea. Perhaps you would care to elaborate...

Don't forget national only use still images in their opening titles, which I'm guessing is a lot quicker than trying to edit footage and render it into the regional title sequence on a daily basis?

No. Faye Barker said on twitter there wasn't one yesterday. There was on Saturday though, and it's back both days next weekend. Wonder why they dropped it for one day though Confused

Indeed - although the comparison between a weeknightly flagship bulletin and an early weekend update is a little strained.

I didn't even know there was a regular weekend 9.25 bulletin, so perhaps it's just me being horribly out of touch.

Was I seeing things or did someone just seem to 'attack' Lewis Vaughn Jones at the end of his live shot just now? There was a lot of shouting then it seemed like someone was dragging him backwards as the shot changed back to the studio
