Can't believe they stole a BBC story!! It's on the front pages of the Daily Telegraph, The Times and Daily Mail tomorrow, and it's such a great moment, that I might just allow ITV to have that one :p
I say it again and again but I love Mark and Julie banter.

Charles weather forecast close was a classic.

I imagine this is from the International Broadcast Centre. I guess most of 6:30's and News at Ten will be at least part anchored from their for the main 2 weeks, if not a few days leading up to it too.

I imagine BBC News ( rather than Sport ) will have space in the IBC, although perhaps not as they have the Lund Point building for the Sport, so perhaps the News will also be their.

The guys in the BBC Olympic thread may be able to give you a better answer.
Not 100% sure what you mean by 'mesh' do you mean the "wrap" around the stadium? If you mean that, then yes it is. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/olympics/controversial-wrapping-of-london-2012-olympic-stadium-begins-7654609.html
Nice view there, is the BBC in the same building?
Also, its unrelated, but is the Olympic Stadium going to get the 'cover' over it of the figures running? I think its called a mesh...

Looks like the top of Westfield to me. I thought only broadcasters with rights to the Olympics use IBCs.

I'd imagine they'd have some kind of arrangements for other broadcasters, especially in the host nation, as of course along with the Olympic broadcasters they have reporters and often presenters from other broadcasters to cater for too - possibly more broadcasters than actually have the rights when you think about it.
DO
The IBC is a technical building - it's primary function is to collate and distribute the host broadcast signals to rights holding broadcasters (RHB), along with functions to support that aim. If you aren't a RHB, then there's nothing of use in the building for you. Furthermore, the IBC is a secure area, classed as a venue for accredditation purposes, with only RHB and Host Broadcaster staff being allowed entry (in Athens, even an "infinity pass" wasn't enough to get you in the IBC). Non-RHBs would have to get someone with appropriate accreditation to sponsor them to even get in the front doors.
If you've not paid for the rights, then the IOC isn't particularily interested in supporting your coverage of the games.
However, the Host Broadcasters normally create a range of highlights "tapes" each day, which are generally distributed by the various news agencies with much more open rights available for those highlights (along with a list a mile long of the restrictions in their usage). To support non-RHBs would devalue the actual rights.

Ah you may be right - that's why I said "I imagine" rather than saying it was
Quite a few things seem to be based at Westfield.
Anyone have any idea if ITN were based in the Beijing IBC??

Also the view of the ITV Jubilee Studio. Pretty similar position to the Royal Wedding studio. Although seems a little higher, probably becuase of the teired seating.
