Since March 1st, ITV's National Weather forecasts are being sponsored by Seven Seas, with a very odd up beat jingle leading out of the news. According to the weather thread, the sponsorship is for 13 months.
In other ITV News matters, what was the odd camera position at the end of News At Ten? The camera seemed to be positioned too far to the left, meaning the whole shot was off centre, and the Alastair was not in the safe area, it looked very odd.

The camera started out in the correct position but seemed to be knocked out of the way - I guess by the jib?

What was it - buy 12 months, get one free?
The article states it covers forecasts three times a day, so don't they have one after the Morning News?

No, I've never known them have morning news weather, it goes straight to a trailer, ident & daybreak/GMTV as was/CITV. Presumebly this why GMTV used to have a weather forecast at the top of the news hour.

I never understood why there wasn't/ isn't a forecast after the morning news/ news at 5:30. Surely last nights weather presenter could pre-record a weather forecast or even have the 5:30 presenter do an out of vision forecast. On the subject of the 5:30 news, I noticed this week (might have been last week come to think of it!) that Richard Gaisford- Daybreaks Chief Correspondent- appeared live on the programme, has this happen before? (ie. Daybreak correspondents appearing) I've been pleased recently with the programme seem to be making an effort on overnight news. (St Paul's Eviction/ PC Rathband Death/ US Elections etc,) having live links/ fresh reports etc. I remember one time when it was a complete carbon copy of the previous nights News at Ten!!

Yes, some Daybreak reporters have reported live for ITV News at 5.30 to cover a breaking/developing story. I noticed this week that Helen Pearson reported live for the programme, but Louisa James covered the story for Daybreak live in the same location. Surely Helen couldn't have presented the TT&B bulletins on Daybreak that day...?
I expect the national weather after News at Ten is recorded many hours before it actually airs, therefore doing one for after the morning news would mean it was recorded almost 12 hours before it airs and therefore it could be inaccurate.

Yeah I saw that, they had Lousia James there, Helen Pearson and Kenny Toal (Freelance at TTB) appeared on Daybreak as well even though Lousia was there and Helen was there earlier and Sarah Kelly presented the updates. Seems like a bit silly having that many people!
Could the London Today weather presenter not just do a national forecast for after the morning news?
Well the London Today presenter would leave around the same time! The first local weather forecast is 11:25am but the first National is after the 1:30 news. So I would have thought that the national weather presenter would be last to leave. As the daybreak local weather forecasts are pre-recorded the night before right?

I believe the TTB Carlisle Correspondent Hannah Lomas was there also (with Helen Ford also doing a report for the 6pm prog, may have been a pre-prod package though.)
Sarah Kelly looked absolutely bewildered presenting the lunch bulletin that day, by the looks of it Ian Payne and Pam Royle were supposed to be asbent but were there for the 6pm prog only.
