I don't understand why itv always have the new year programme finish about 00:03 so we miss most of the fireworks, Would it really matter pushing the review of the year back to 00:10 or even 00:15 so we get to see more of the fireworks and celebrations?

A nice New Year start to ITV News at five to six morning. The Morning News had nice pictures of the fireworks in the studio and used different camera angles too. There was also a flash of fireworks between the studio and ITN caption thing at the end. I've just tried to look again online but the programme is not there.

Nope it is a paid for broadcast that the BBC have. That's also why on Sky and ITV they don't have the music played to the time of the fireworks like BBC One.

Even more stupid in my opinion is the fact that Sky News Radio (formally IRN) who provide the news to many commercial radio stations across the country, cannot broadcast the chimes of Big Ben as they are 'protected from broadcast without the rights'.

Tonights news at Ten started earlier than scheduled at 22:09 instead of 22:10, As mentioned earlier in this thread its usually 2 minutes late when its due to start at 22:00, its not like ITV to be early
