Shortest regional and evening bulletins since Wednesday today, I hate it when the summary titles are shown.

What are the chances of there being an ITV News revamp in 2012?

I've never liked this look and I wish they'd go back to giving News at Ten its own identity

Maybe so, but I agree with that King with the Wishful Thoughts. Wasn't News at Ten brand awesome? The last incarnation? And that music which is unbeatable by any other.

We can but dream, I guess.

Other than pure commercial reasons, I can't think why ITN or ITV abandoned News at Ten. I don't know anyone at all who prefers the current "consistent branding". The public doesn't give a sh!t about consistent branding. Only the beancounters care.

News At Ten had an absolutely superb look - the only thing that let it down I think was the boring white desk, which didn't do the rest of the look justice. Newsnight has a similar look now to the old News At Ten and it looks great, it's just a shame that the Barcos in TC7 can't quite manage the deep colours of the CSO set that ITN used.

Not a big fan of the current ITV News look - as hard as they tried to make it look different, it still looks very stale and dingy, even with the lighter backdrop.

Jonny on alignment: doesn't every bulletin now have the same theme, intro, extro and utilize the same desk amd graphics?

If not, then I stand corrected. Can't watch any of these programme, but I have presumed the above as correct.

But, either way, it was a daft idea to ditch the unique News at Ten brand.

I feel the whole look of ITV News has been cheapened, the News At Ten branding should have been built on not destroyed...

I think the problem is that it looks dark at 1:30pm in the afternoon it looks silly! The old ITV News set was far superior why did they get rid of it? Was there a reason?
The last few ITV sets hav been virtual, maybes time for something a little less fake?
