There was a "sort-of" festive touch to the endcap tonight, not sure if it was in use yesterday: a faint snow shower visible in the ITN logo. Not as great as previous offerings but it was something at least!

For both of today's bulletins so far today there have been no titles, just straight into the main headlines.
The epg says that today's lunchtime was 25 mins, did that have no titles. And by 'Straight into the headlines' do you mean just straight into the programme?

Sorry, not clear when I describe things. It had the headline sequence the bongs, but at the
top of the programme instead of going into the titles sequence it just went straight to the newscaster. Happened just now on the late news.

I assume it was, Mark was sitting on the left so that's probably why, don't usually have a single presenter on the
left. Correct me if I'm wrong
I picked up on that too, was it the normal studio? as I thought the shots were a funny angle on the 6.45 news.

Hello I am new to this so bear with me! I have been looking at this whole thread for a while and decided to join based on the fact I watch nearly every ITV News programme.
I must say there was certainly something a little strange about all the programmes yesterday. All three programmes had the main headline read out and then the newscaster would be shown, the opening 'bongs' would be done for other headlines and then the sting. No opening titles.
Also I don't know if anyone else noticed but the lunchtime and evening bulletins had no end credits at all and the late edition only had credits like those used on the ITV News at 5:30!

Time will tell in a few minutes as the news is a full 30 minutes, I quite like the 2009 openings, but always interested in any changes being brought in.

Also it is nice to see Faye on the lunchtime news, I really don't see why ITV morning news presenters like Faye and Charlene are not used more often.
It really annoys me that on London Tonight they always try and got high profile anchors in to present the main programme when they seem to just overshadow the talent that is already available at ITN.
And Mark yet again presenting tonight's evening and late bulletins, what a surprise to see him so much extra duty. Surprised Alastair hasn't got his foot in the door presenting!
