No bother. I think she has done it about 3/4 times now.

Oh dear, what happened at the start of NaT? Mark Austin just apologised for a voiceover that wasn't meant to be there at the start. Any one have any ideas what went on?

Apparently at the start of the programme the words 'bloody hell' were heard.

Yes, they did. The "legal reasons" caption was flashed up for a few seconds over the ident into News at Ten.

On +1, they threw up the "for legal reasons..." slide for 5s before crashing into Mark Austin reading the main headline.

Take it the CA must have said something naughty then?

What exactly happened then? Was a voiceover played out right at the start by mistake? If so, was it the correct one or someone else's? It's strange that such a thing could happen as ITN usually pre-records the opening sequences of ITV News. I guess either they didn't have time to pre-record one or the wrong take was played out by mistake.

It sounds like the problem wasn't at the ITN end of things.

The apology at the end of the bulleti will have been very confusing to UTV and STV viewers who presumably didn't hear the offending remark
