Is it time to reset this thread once again - I'm fed up of the last page being blank everytime I open this thread.

Brekkie: I'm finding that with every thread actually, when it comes to clicking on a thread which has just had the previous page filled.

So glad that they are choosing Andrea to cover news bulletins and I see that Mark Austin is reporting from Somalia. I generally hate these reports, fair enough that there is famine but how many special reports are needed? I don't mean to be disrespectful or anything but it just seems pretty pointless- to send Mark out their too. I'm sure Rohit Kachroo or another correspondent could of handled it.

I was actually wondering how long it would be before Natasha popped on the National news. I watched it and by the end of it, let's just say, it was 25 minutes well wasted. ITN should just keep her on LT and let the likes of Andrea do the cover shifts.

Andrea did cover tonight or are you refering to Friday?

I think Andrea is a great addition to the team and obviously the higher above are impressed with her to have her presenting the main weekday bulletins. Many other regional presenters have come and gone but never presented as many prime time bulletins like this.

Has Andrea done a 'News at Ten' yet? I think that would be quite a good one for her as well. Hopefully in the future Andrea will come across to the National from Wales Tonight permanently.

I don't understand the love for Andrea Benfield. She is a professional newscaster, that's certain, but she lacks any kind of warmth in her delivery and comes across as rather aloof.

I agree, Nicky. Never understood the fascination with her either. Like you say, she comes across as rather cold. Much like Natasha Kaplinsky. There's only Julie and Mary who are worth watching any more now that Katie Derham's gone. Nina can be a bit aloof at times, too. Lucy Meacock has a warm personality, but they only seem to let her near weekends now. None of them were as warm as Carol Barnes, though. Really miss her
