Is she the Channel 4 News lunchtime presenter?

No, I think you mean Samira Ahmed. Salma Siraj only works on ITV News and ITV London News.

Not Samira Ahmed. There is someone new who has been doing the C4 lunchtime bulletins. Though looking at those caps I don't think it is Salma Siraj

Was Richard Pallot originally meant to be presenting the early morning news Sunday? He was reporting from Tottenham, and I doubt both him and Salma Siraj were meant to be working Saturday night/Sunday morning

Saima Mohsin is the new face on Channel 4 News. She used to present the ITV Morning News, and reported for ITV and GMTV.

It seems that Geraint Vincent is now special correspondent rather than Daisy McAndrew. Is Daisy still set to become a special correspondent/presenter? Has Penny Marshall left ITV News?

Both Geraint and Daisy are special correspondents, the former focusing more on international stories. Penny is a freelance reporter. I don't know if her title is still special corr.

Last night's ITV News late bulletin was delivered quite unprofessionally. The breaking news on Libya meant that there was too much to fit in, a report from Neil Connery, a live phone link from a reporter, John Ray's report and then a rushed live link with him. John was barely into saying a sentence with Mary trying to cut him off. She also had to rush the intro on the report about the wife's tributes to her husband, the RAF read arrow pilot who died.

Having a headline sequence didn't help either, they shows a sport story to be coming up but when it came down to it there wasn't enough time. They'd be better off just using the summary titles.

After the report about the pilot it made matters worse by Mary signing of in the wrong camera.

I was wondering if ITV could get extra time for news when they are on air?

Quite rare to see Mary presenting the lunchtime news as well today.

Because ITV pay very little attention to the importance of Breaking News. It must be very frustrating for those sat in the newsroom at ITN when major stories such as Libya kick off. I've no doubt they approached the network for more airtime, but were rejected.

Just a guess but im thinking that James has been shipped out to Libya just incase any developments require the programme to be presented from there.

EDIT: James is in Libya

Its ridiculous. It's not as if an important programme was on afterwards. Doesn't do much for ITV News' reputation.
