ITV News

Saturdays in particular. Senior presenters often do Sundays.

Not for quite a while, they haven't. It's usually James Mates on Sundays now. Nice seeing Al though.

It was Andrea Benfield for a while from ITV Wales, I think she even did a couple of 6.30's but I'm not to sure on that.

The Saturday roster is usually between Andrea, Romilly, Daisy, Steve and Chris.

We're getting in danger of going down rota road here! Must say though flicking through the EPG last night and seeing Alastair down to present I did wonder if anyone had died.

He'd just done a live and a report for Calendar from Westminster - so perhaps doing both..?

I don't think its an unusual occurance for a regional reporter to appear on the national news, afterall they are employed in general to work for ITV News as such that they are mainly based in a regional service but may crop up for use on national bulletins. I've noticed that they only tend to appear on Daybreak or the Lunchtime News.

With the awful news that came from Bradford am I correct in saying that the reporter on Daybreak yesterday was an ITV Yorkshire reporter?

Richard Pallot has just done the 11:25am update, and from the sounds of it he's doing the 1:30 as well. Is this the first time he's presented the ITV News? I know he used to do Channel Report.

Not necessarily , Sally Bidulph and Charlene White have both done the 11.25 news summaries with James and Alastair returning for the Lunchtime News. We'll have to wait and see

Mary Nightingale doing the 1:30 - first time I've ever seen her doing it, very very unusual, and probably the first time in many years. They must be short!

Mary co-presented the Lunchtime News quite a lot a few years ago. Infact I think it was just before the switch to solo presentation.

I've seen her do it a couple of times in the last year or so but very infrequently and usually on bank holidays. According to the EPG it should be James who isn't doing it for whatever reason.
