Was it my imagination or with the pictures on the 6.30 News slightly different than normal? I think Barack Obama was replaced by Nelson Mandela and David Beckham was replaced too, I may be wrong.
I noticed that to, Fabio Capello has been added on there to between the 3rd and 4th image.
That was odd James Mates started telling us a story about a teacher who sexually abused girls at his school and then he said they would return to the story later in the programme, they went to a break in the usual way, When they came back from the break they used the summary titles that don't go into the studio, Then it cut to a shot of Mary Nightingale who picked up the story, I've not seen something like this happen before
Presumably some people switch over when they have an ad break on a Friday and don't come back. That's quite an effective way to hold on to the viewers, especially as that ad break is usually only around 90 seconds. It adds some degree of continuity too, linking the two parts together.

I think that was due to a problem with Rupert’s report, rather than being intentional. I understand there was some sort of technical or legal issue that had to be resolved before broadcast and you do hear Mates’ fluff his lines slightly as he’s being told in his ear piece.
