Oddity on Wednesday 29th December - a 40 minute lunchtime news (including regional news) at 13.25

Similar to last year there is a normal length 10pm bulletin on the 29th and 30th. And again the Late Evening News Year Eve bulletin is on over midnight (2350-0005)

And Boxing Day has hardly any news at all - 10 minutes at lunchtime and just 5 minutes early evening and late evening (there is also the usual 05.30 bulletin). That's less than Christmas Day

Staffing issues over the holiday period perhaps? Maybe combined with the fact that the 26th is on a Sunday this year (Boxing Day technically being on the 28th this year - two extra days holiday due to Christmas falling over the weekend).

Did anyone see Tom Bradby's interview with Nick Clegg...? "...you've had horse sh*t put through your door..."

Tom Bradby, voice of the people... Rolling Eyes

I wouldn't mind, but he's such a sh*t reporter. (Ho ho. Very Happy )

Yeah, he's so full of himself.

They should give that position to Shippy.

UTV has the early morning news at 5.55am on the 24th/25th but TV Choice lists it at 5.30am as normal. Last minute change of plan, or mistake by UTV?

Interesting to see Andrea Benfield presenting today, not seen her on national duties for a fair few weeks if not longer

Any reason why there's no late bulletin on tonight?! Love Actually could easily start at 10.30 with a 15 min News after Benidorm.

I don't really think anybody cares anymore, the state of ITV News ...!

Seriously though - I'm led to believe that there will be a news update within one of the film's breaks, a la Channel Five.
