Charlene White on the ITV News at 23:45 tonight
Has she done all today's programmes?

Mary Nightingale presented the early evening news - not sure about the lunchtime update.

Charlene presented the lunchtime summary

So, do we think Charlene was maybe supposed to present all bulletins yesterday - but due to the release of Aung San Suu Kyi, it was thought a more senior presenter was needed?
Did Charlene present London Tonight yesterday?

Nope Jasmine Lowson did, that could be a good reason?
Or maybe somebody who was meant to be presenting last minute not available? The EPG did not have a name down.

James Mates did the Lunchtime summary today even though on Sundays London Tonight's presenter anchors the bulletin.

ITV1 will be showing a programme about the story of the Chandlers who were held captive by Somali Pirates for over 1 year after the ITV News.

No doubt it will be based on the News coverage as its only been around 24hours since they have been released.

Well I think there've obvioulsy added the intro to the programme today. But the rest of it is obviously done a while ago - I.e Reconstruction.

I can only think that it was suppose to air ages ago ( as it's mainly about the failed attempt) but was prevented from airing, due to the court injunction regarding any publicity/news about them.

Actually I think this is likely to feature a lot more footage besides today's news coverage. I understand there's a fair amount of material from during their capture, but which the FCO requested broadcasters not transmit while attempts were still on-going to secure the couple's release.

Alistair Stewart to "star" in ITV.com Corrie spin-off...

Breaking news: Tram crash! (ITV News special)
And finally of course, there’s the storyline to rock every soap fan to the core. With the disastrous tram accident and subsequent explosion reeking devastation across Weatherfield, itv.com will play host to a sequence of spectacular and specially filmed rolling news bulletins directly from the scene of the accident. From interviews with the residents in the immediate aftermath to eyewitness footage, the unique approach will be anchored by ITN’s Alastair Stewart.

...anyone else getting slightly * annoyed by that constantly animating fancy "WK" graphic behind the newscasters?!

*I say "slightly", but what I really mean is "very".

I suppose it's a little "busy"/distracting, but I actually thought that the WK and the rest of the graphics yesterday were a lot better than usual - seemed a bit more effort had gone into them.

Yes, it's well-designed - not disputing that - but just having it static in the background would've been preferable.
