i'll give it a try. I dislike the hammy tone of some of their younger reporters who seem to think its as much about them as the story: Tom Bradby, Stephen Douglas, Keir Simmons, Rohit Kachroo. thank god Bill Neely, Penny Marshall, Robert Moore and Lawrence McGinty are still there

Agreed.

I think the trouble with some of the younger ITV News reporters is that they don't manage to get the tone quite right sometimes (Keir Simmons especially - his delivery is always so bombastic & overblown and is a poor choice for UK Editor IMO).

Maybe it is just youth and/or lack of experience, but on the other hand, you look at somebody like Chris Ship (who is also of that generation), and yet he manages to deliver well observed and well scripted reports and lives every time, without the need to go all tabloid, so maybe it isn’t just an age thing after all. And although I don't rate Geraint Vincent as a presenter, his reporting skills are much better.

As for the older generation of reporters you mention, I agree with all of the above but would also add Julian Manyon, who sadly I think is due to retire but has made a fantastic contribution to ITV News over many years. I would also include Paul Davies as well.

I agree partly the with you both however some of the names are getting unfair criticism firstly Geraint Vincent i think is an excellent presenter I know he can seem a bit nervous but he is as good in the studio as reporitng which he is good at, Tom Bradbury is stuck up at the best of times i think Daisy/Chris/Livi and James Mates would be better in his role . Rohit and Stephen are getting better. I would like to see John Bevir and Ben Chapman both ITV Local reporters /newscasters .

I was just watching some clips of News at 10's previous look it’s such a shame it’s just presented like the other programmes now nothing that makes it stand out for the flagship programme it is. It used to have its own set, Titles and Graphic's. It also used to have exclusives and in my view was better than the BBC 10 O’clock news which I have now switched to.

Also a Question ITV News is that studio the same as the one the theatre of news and the NAT Studio [ u]OR[/u] is it Studio 5 which was Setanta Sports News's studio as it looks similar.
