I'm not a fan of Keir or Rohit so it makes no odds to me... but they're better than some. I saw Emily Morgan reporting on the Lunchtime News over the summer and was pretty impressed by her reporting style - hopefully she'll make a great addition to the reporting team.

Yeah whilst like I said I think Keir is good, I don't really rate Rohit tbh.

I beg to differ! Rohit has, I feel, been overrated quite a bit. As sstripling alludes, he really does not come across on-screen as a great reporter. Keir is bearable but by no means in the league of those who come across as more authoritative and more trustworthy: Neil Connery, James Mates, Tim Ewart, John Irvine, Martin Geissler... you get my drift.

Changing the subject, has anyone else noticed that they seem to have got rid of the "And Finally..." graphic as of this week? The last remnant of News at Ten...

ITV News bosses probably should have run it past BBCNicky first. A massive oversight not to. He clearly thinks his judgment is better than their's.

It's not about whether my judgement is better than the judgements of people making the decisions - it's about whether or not these decisions are the right ones, and I am just adding my two penn'orth to an informal forum debate between viewers of ITV News output (and I should think that if you're a viewer, you are more than qualified and justified to debate whether or not certain appointments to reporting roles are good enough for you, seeing as you are the ones they're aiming to "inform" and "entertain"!)

I sincerely hope that's a good enough justification of my earlier post...! Razz

Started on STV kids show Skoosh! and presented some current affairs programmes at the station - also presented on Rangers TV, Arsenal TV and Middlesbrough TV, Setanta Sports News and has recently anchored Sky Sports' live SPL coverage. She has worked on several newspapers in Scotland.
Also, she has had one f*ck up of a lip job - there was nothing wrong with them before. Embarassed

Not strictly ITV News but .....

Just caught up with 'Climbing Great Buildings' on the BBC iPlayer, and was very surprised to see it was 'An Independent Television News' production for the BBC. Has this happened before?

Well the Queen speech has biennially been produced by ITN since 1997 ( News section i think) & the BBC, so is the only real one that's happened for a while for BBC that i can think of and looking on there site, no BBC either.

But I think the show your talking about might be " ITN Productions" which I believe was launched ealier this year, after a bit of restructuring of ITN. It was formerly ITN On, ITN Factual and ITN's corporate production arm.
