I thought ITV News was turning into Points of view on the X Factor Story! Laughing

In fairness to ITV News. at least they didn't shy away from covering the criticisms of X Factor over the use of Auto Tune.

I suppose so and they are fairly good at showing anti ITV reports when required, being produced by ITN I suppose they have a bit more leway about being critical i.e than the BBC (being in house).

It's just more in general I find it a bit annoying random tweets being shown.

I think it's just a bit of a slow news day tbh, the & Finally story tonight was stretching it a bit in a news programme really aswell i.e Jokes.

Agreed, but just for the record - Time Vine was also interviewed on the BBC News Channel (by Emily Mathius I believe) - and they ran it at least a couple of times ...

Meant to say Tim Vine (not Time) - the comedian who allegedly told the funniest joke at the Edinburgh Fringe.

as expected from the things on his twitter the other day really! Be intresting to see who replaces him. I think the knock on effect will mean will have at least 2 or 3 reshuffles.

Jon Ray seemed to be on less lately when things to do wit China popped up. I think the last time I saw him was reporting in Afghanistan - mabye new Middle East Correspondent?

Yeah that was the last time i seen him as well , surely this is a demotion for Angus However its in the top 5 positions on itv news uk editor I think he will do well however and can see his next role being Economics Editor , I have not seen Julian Manyon for a while could he have left ? ( If he has been on recently please correct me) but maybe Bill Nearly is going back to newsreading or a political position what ever it is I can see more reshuffles .

I may upload my idea for a reshuffle in a while.

I believe Julian Manyon was reporting via a live link on News at Ten yesterday evening.

Ginofish - what on earth gives you the idea that moving from "UK Editor" to "China Correspondent" is a demotion? If anything, I'd argue that it's a big honour to be given the responsibility of reporting from an international bureaux and given the task of sending home 'world-class' reports, exclusives or otherwise.

Re: Julian Manyon - Oh was he I watched the 6:30 but missed the 10 thanks for that Smile

Re: Angus Walker- Editor as a position is higher than Correspondent that was my reasoning I didant say anything about it not being a honour and I understand your response and his carear at itn will progress by securing exclusives and interviews on such a intresting place its somewhere id like to visit , My point was as Editor you were incharge of a paticular area in his case UK and now his editor will Be Bill Nearly and if it is a massive story he will cover it .

Does anyone think with China being a developing country etc . and its econmy Angus may have a Ecconomics role in the future.
