If there was to be successors for each of the editors this is who I would use

/ Politics Editor
: Angus Walker - Background in Political reporting has done It both regional and national.
/ Intenational Editor : Robert Moore- Covered many Events from around the globe .
/ UK Editor : Kier Simmons - Would suit the role has well crafted reports.
/ Sport Editor: Geriant Vincent- Previous experience in reporter role and this would enable him to still present .
/ Ecconomics Editor: Chris Ship - Has reproted on things such as the budget and government spending cuts.
/ Consumer Editor : Juliet Bremnar.

I have to disagree with some (although it's your opinion.

/ Politics Editor
: Angus Walker
/ Intenational Editor : Martin Geisler or Tim Ewart
/ UK Editor : Rohit Katchroo or Juliet Bremner
/ Sport Editor: Natalie Pirks - I can't see geraint progressing.
/ Ecconomics Editor: Not sure about this one, if I was to choose I think Libby wiener seems to know her economics better than the other political reporters.
/ Consumer Editor : Juliet Bremnar or Neil Connery
Medical/Science Editor : Sue Saville

Mabye reading into it to much - but could it mabye hint at Keir becoming Washington Correspondent?

Also is that a real background or green screen? Looks real to me.

I was wondering the same. Though if not a real window, which I suspect it is, surely it has to be some sort of back-projection? Doesn't seem enough space between him and the background to be chrome keyed?

I'm sure it's green screen because I remember bill Neely pointed behind him to show the White house, although it was just a blank screen.

Geraint's reports are very well crafted and he has a good carear ahead of him now if its in reporting he may end up in politics like he did in wales , he could end up in international or uk roles or as a senior correspondant now the other place for him is the newsroom and when one of the male newscasters leave then he could fill those shoes.

Rohit would be good as UK Editor , I Think Neil Connery would do well in the international team but I think your idea about Tim Ewart is good and one I never thought of he would suit it .

The one I have to disagree with is natalie as sports editor I just cant see her getting promoted to that and she will probably end up fronting sports coverage .

That's the weird thing it looks like should be green screen - but it must be real as:
- there wouldn't be a window frame.
- it would literally be just green backround in a photo, as the background wouldn't have been chroma- keyed yet.
the only other thing as you say is back projection. I always got the impression on TV that it looked like they were on a balcony type set up - like Bejing Olympics.

Not sure when this happened?

Rohit Katchroo - honestly at best, his is a general reporter.

Some of the posts here are quite laughable.

Do any of you honestly think that Lawrence McGinty and Steve Scott would be moved from their current positions?

I agree with you - he is absolutely nowhere near as experienced or authoritative as other reporters. As for the talk about Angus Walker becoming Political Editor, I have always thought James Mates would be a natural in that role. He really excelled himself during ITV's Election 2010 coverage and comes across as a hell of a lot more trustworthy and heavyweight than Tom Bradby.

On the subject - Stephen Douglas and Lewis Vaughan-Jones have to be two of the weakest ITN reporters I've seen in a long time.

He would have difficulty pointing out the White House from that position, since the background is the US Congress and the White House is in the opposite direction.

some of the newer reporters on ITV News are just a joke. Stephen Douglass and Lewis Vaughan are very, very weak and completely lack authority. The likes of Emma Murphy, Helen Callaghan and Rohit Katchroo are a cut above.
