yeah I've posted about this in the weather thread!

Like i said there -seems like they have no sponsor and also instead of going from the news to the weather they seem to be going from the news to a promo/"Tonight on ITV1" sting, then to the weather.

ITN has just launched an online survey on TV news viewing habits (as posted on the ITV News Facebook page). Wonder if this is part of the review of news recently touted in ITV's results presentation?

Any one else got a funny picture on one of the ITV News report? Bottom is cut off and is instead at the top with a big black line.

Strong rumours circulating that Helen Fospero is preparing to join ITV News. I can't see this unfortunately... Not the right fir for her.

I think it would be a good career move, it is far more high profile than daybreak. Lets hope she won't be shoved to the News at 5.30 though. However I do agree she does have a bubbly personality and won't be able to show that too much on itv News, but she would not be able to show that on BBC either.

Yeah I agree that if anything it's a promotion, that's if , as you say it isn't the 5:30am bulletin - but there've already got enough people to do that.

Perhaps she'll get Katie's job - most Lunctime Bulletin ( giving Alastair less work, as he increasingly seems to do a lot) and also be occasional cover for EN.

So if she does become one of the "5" it's a bigger profile job IMO and I think she'll fit in fine - she's "newsy" enough, but like Al has a sense of humour. Compared to the BBC, that's always the type of presenter that is the ITV News type.

I can't see her becoming one of the "5" main presenters. I think it is more likely she will have Nina's old job presenting mainly the weekend bulletins, but also filling in when needed.

Danslink, are you basing this on the (fairly vague) hint Cross Channel gave in the Daybreak thread or are have you heard news from somewhere else? I admit I can't imagine her appearing anywhere else on ITV, but still.

Why does ITV News 'forget' about the 5.30 bulletin. E.g the banner at itv.com/news.
is this produced by ITN instead of ITV?
