god their fast!
Katie has just presented her final London Tonight, in the articles it said she would finish presenting on Thursday so hopefully tomorrow she presents the EN with Al or NaT. Her head has been removed on the websites background and meet the team image.

Hopefully she'll be presenting it with Al - he'd no doubt have a bit of a tribute. Although obvioulsy as it's the National News, and it's overal more serious, you can't have a really big send of like Alastair leaving LT.
I expect it might be a few of her highlights like on LT tonight and then Alastair ( or whoever) will say a few words.
Yes, as I posted in the London Tonight thread, I believe she is presenting both the News at 1:30 and the News at 6:30. Perhaps there will be more of a tribute at the end of the 6:30pm bulletin from whoever is her co-presenter?

She's still featured on the meet the team page on the national news website, even though as you say she isn't on the top image anymore. I'm surprised she's been removed already, given that she probably doesn't finish until tomorrow.
She's still on the London Tonight homepage and meet the team page.

yeah as I said above it won't be as big as it isn't reall appropriate. More perhaps a quick montage of her with her co -hosts and a "Katie is leaving us."
On the BBC point, funilly enough I thought they wouldn't mention it on LT cause they don't want to be promoting her moving to the BBC. But Donal said "it's our loss, but the BBC's gain."
I doubt she'll get a big goodbye and it wouldn't be appropriate on the national news. It'll be mentioned I'm sure, but like Trevor McDonald and more comparatively John Suchet it'll be rather low key, especially as she's leaving for the BBC rather than retiring.

There won't be a montage - others didn't get one so no reason Katie will. As much as she's rated around here, her leaving is not a newsworthy event.
I'm sure Alastair will say something briefly as they close the programme, and Katie will have the opportunity to say goodbye - but it's not going to be a full speech, just a couple of links.

I wasn't saying a story out of it, more just a montgae over the top of them saying about katie leaving.
Others did get a big send off ( whilst I know you cant really compare them) Trevor the 1st time around even got a story on the BBC News. The second time round he was their less than a year, so not obviusly the same.

Really can't see them doing a montage at all ... would be too over-indulgent on a national news bulletin.

They wont and if London Tonight montage of clips is anything to go by then they definatly wont, I was just thinking its as if they wanted her to go. All the changes on the LN and splitting her up from Alastair, the presenting changes on London Tonight and lets not forgot being overshadowed by Mary and Julie which of course is understandable.

I have no idea what you expect Macalolo. I'm sure Katie will be quite rightly thanked for the brilliant job that she has done for ITV News/ITN over the last 12 or so years, but she's moving to another job, in this case with the BBC, not retiring. It's much like when Nicholas Owen left to join the BBC, and the highlight of that day was when Katie spontaneously kissed him on the Lunchtime News.
As for why she is leaving; yes, but for someone having made a cretinous decision on such matters the ITV News presenting rosters would have been arranged around Katie a long time ago, so you could argue that she was overlooked in that she didn't (quite) have the position she merited, there is no way she has been overshadowed. Despite ITV's attempts to push Mary and, more recently, Julie, into the public's consciousness, it doesn't really work and there's no contest, I would choose Katie every time.
