Like you say little touches like this are important.

Why on earth are they important?

Yes it is, she will present her last London and Lunchtime bulletins on the 24th. Sadly for us it's the last time we will see her present the bulletins :/ The last few weeks though her role on London Tonight has been very small which is a shame as it would be nice for her to see her last full weeks in full. I would imagine a tribute from the LT team and hey maybe Al will walk into the studio on the Lunchtime News and although the EPG guides havent scheduled she might even go out on NaT on Thursday who knows. What is certain LT will never be the same in my eyes, its Nina and Donal next week. As for the national news I would imagine more Romilly, Andrea and Nina. I wish Katie all the best and have enjoyed watching her present the bulletins for the last few years. She is a gem and will be missed by everyone, I can never remember anyone in this forum saying a bad word about her.

You'd think her final day would be Friday, although mabye she's got something to do with Proms on that day or perhaps it's just that her contract runs out on that day.

I would imagine as you say, that there will be a tribute from the LT team - well Alastair had the whole team there. Although if Alastair is on the EN that night he won't be their, he'd hardly be able to run to the the ITV News studio in about 5 seconds! Laughing

I agree that LT won't be the same - she was on par with Alastair as instremental to the programme.
Speaking of which, it's a shame they changed to one headed bulletins for the Lunchtime News last year - I used to always like the chemistry between them on it.

...why?

It's her last week - but that doesn't mean she has to present every single bulletin in it.

Well, it would have been nice to see her on national news, however on the plus side, it is geraint.
