I bought a new tv today, and set it up with freeview. I got a bit excited because channel 41 is called ITV News, however nothing came up (just a blank screen). Is anyone else getting this?

no just rescanned my freeview box, not getting anything.

Although for ages on 800 I've had another ITV1 and then when I press the EPG to see what number it's on it's redirected to the Channel 3 version

what happened?

A good 20 minutes long, about 6 reports and 1 live with Steve Scott. Enough time as well to have a smooth sign off and not a rushed one.

oh ok! Sometimes they only literally have about 3 reports!

I expect they might be a bit longer because of the World Cup some EN bulletins are shorter in the coming weeks.

I think the main reason was to ensure the James Corden show could run for nearly half an hour on ITV4 in between it ending on ITV1 and the beginning of the highlights.

The 800s are where duplicate channels appear. It's a signal from an adjoining relay/transmitter which is strong enough to show a coherant broadcast.

A bit silly really to continue with the 11.25am summary when the actual bulletin will only be five minutes long at 12noon. Would have been better really to move the news to the 2.30pm half-hour when they've got lunchtime kick-offs.
