Also on an unrelated note , just thought their Youtube account never seems to have materilised! Laughing

No it never, did it Very Happy
Probably too much work, I still cannot get my head around what took so long to build. The websites is the same as ITV Locals designs so why was it that it took 5 months longer to launch. I have a feeling that the original site design may have backfired and the had to settle for the ITV Local design.

exactly!

I'm not being funny but how hard is it to make a youtube page ! You've only got to put a logo on !! I'm sure they could even knick the background of the normal site!! Laughing

Well in ITV's case it probably is tooo much effort lol

Very Happy I have a feeling that they might not have wanted to launch it and rather get people to go to their wesbite i.e. getting the profit! With is a little bit stupid as other channels have youtube pages. I.e 4OD!

LOL indeed, though I quite like Sally, and Romilly too.

It was great to have Katie regularly presenting the Evening News in 2009 which, ironically, seems to be happening more frequently once again in the run-up to her departure.

I think we have already established that ITV News aren't planning to announce a surprise appointment any time soon so we're likely to just see more of the usual suspects.

I wonder who will replace Katie then - I suppose she will have a regular replacement on London Tonight but on the lunchtime news as she only presents a few days a week it could be a mixture of different presenters - I expect it will be Nina doing the cover for Evening News and News at Ten when Mary and Julie are both not around.

Nina is definatley the best option to replace Katie, although I don't think she will agree to do so because of children and travelling. I would say sally is next in line because she has a similar personality to Katie. Romilly seems to bore me quite a lot.
Overall I think Nina (if possible), Sally or Alex Hyndman (but I think she is better on the morning news because charlene and jackie are a bit hard to watch)

I think it'll simply be Nina replacing her on the national bulletins and a lesser, cheaper, face replacing her on London Tonight - though it could be an opportunity to get rid of Donal McIntyre and perhaps relaunch it as a single headed programme with a bigger name - though apart from Alastair Stewart who obviously isn't available I'm not sure they've got a name big enough.

+1 Laughing

Although i don't think there'd go for a single headed programme!

I can see Nina getting Katie's national bulletins role ( not all because of kids/traveling etc) and some London Tonight and mabye Lucy Cotter getting the remainder of Katie's role.

Also OT there seem to be new reporters being intoduced this week - Rags ( can't remember their last name) on London Tonight and on the Lunchtime News today there was a new male "Political Reporter" who's name escapes me.
