also because of the big election story there've obviulsy decided to use the "main" presenters this weekend - nice to see James anchoring from Downing Street and Mary in the Studio too. Even Tom Bradby was their too.

James said something at the end a little perculiar - " the next scheduled bulletin is at 10 - I suppose withh all the election news going on it's likely there'll interupt normal programme's.

So from that then there are prepared to break into programmes if a significant story breaks, regarding the election news, which is good to know they are happy to continue coverage where necessary.

I'm not sure if I was one of them I'd wan't my picture on my bank card! Laughing

I'm sure there ITV are hoping it's not in the middle of something like Corrie/ BGT - I bet there hoping it breaks in something like Dickinson's Real Deal! Laughing

I wonder if it was during primetime in Corrie etc whether they'd cut in the middle of the programme or wait for a break and whether they'd just not show the remainder of the programme or schedule it later? I suppose it depends on the seriousness - if the new PM was annouced I imagine they would just cut mid programme and stay with it for as long as needed.

Was Alastair in the newsroom for the news flash earlier? Mark has said the News at 6.30pm will be on as usual, so I guess Alastair/Mary might take over then.
