Apart from their new astons (too big and over-simplified), voiceover in the wrong place (sounds too grumpy!) and the title sequence (feels like a virtual simulation in a car with a drunk driver), I'm absolutely fine with the new ITV News branding.
I'll be interested to see what they do with News at Ten. It's a shame that after all the hype with their iconic title sequence and music that it was going to be ditched after more than a year. It better be good!

I'm not a fan of starting the programme with one story that is separated from the other three - it's a pity they've retained that feature.

Can only comment from what I've seen here...didn't like the very start of the 6.30.....Mary seemed too far away from the desk, and thus the background looked flat from where she stood. Music, a grower I think!
I liked the shape of the desk...a nice departure from the round and oval-ness that dictates most news sets these days.
Titles, seemed a bit, well meh, to be frank...too fast between images, tho did like the transition to the studio!
If only the News Channel was still on the go...

I dind't manage to catch the LN , but I thought it was that - when I saw it on here - I loooked out for it on the EN - but didn't see it !!
Last couple of breaks, ther've had the new promo's - their promoting it enough - as they should!

For anyone who missed the brief snippet of what's coming up on News at Ten earlier during the evening news. Yes, it looks pretty generic as expected...

The regional news does look completely out of place in line with the National now though. I wouldn't be surprised if there's something coming to tie it into the channel look soon though, as having it all tied tightly into the same brand as the channel is probably very handy when ITV haven't made a secret recently of wanting to exert control over the branding of any of the 3rd parties who might take over regional news in the future.

I believe it would sound stupid to say 'Those news and all the other news coming up' don't you? And, I think Julie was implying that stories were 'news stories' not something she will be making up for us.
I didn't like the plain map of the world background on the last story of the above lip, the one to the left of her. very odd. Overall, a first rate revamp!! Congrats ITV!
