I would say that I get no more news out of this ITV News site than any previous one.
BBC, CNN, AP, RTE, ABC Australia, MSNBC and a host of other news sites give me far more information than I can get here. ITV News is about the weakest news site out there right now, with perhaps the exception of Five News.

Just caught the tail end of ITV News and saw they were showing some of the Reading/Villa match. Then noticed they had taken the pictures from ITV HD! Are they planning to produce their bulletins in HD in the future? Because I imagine this is what Sky News will do (show pictures from the HD sports channels) when Sky News HD launches.

yeah someone posted about this a few pages back. I think for some reason their recording the footage from the ITV1 hd channel - even thought they obvioulsy can't show it in HD.

no , it is taken from the hd channel , but because ITV News are not HD , they are only able to show it in SD.

Mark won Best Newscaster at the Television and Radio Industries Club awards ceremony today - here's a picture of him holding his award. Whereas Julie received much praise and coverage for her RTS win, there was no mention for poor Mark at the end of the 6:30 news though! But of course you have to remember that the RTS Awards are much more high-profile and prestigious than the TRIC ones. Although I'm pretty certain I remember ITN briefly mentioning Carol Barnes' win in '94. (Or was that John Suchet??)
