Reminds of the time about five or so years ago when that ITN live loop appeared on a Sky channel, so we got to see Mark Austin and Nina Hossain rehearse the Evening News and things like that. IIRC it was replaced by something called Big Game TV less than a week later. Shame...!

For those who would ever want to know what happenes at the end of a news bulletin, well on ITV Local's Westcountry-west page it seems that somebody left the camera rolling at the end to see the lights go out and presenters leave the studio. To see what I mean http://www.itv.com/westcountry-west/fullprogramme/?intcmp=NAV_THEWESTC0_FULLPROG3

Looks like they've edited it now.

Alas, it is gone, due to a copyright claim by ITN.

How do ITV decide when to put adverts in the middle of the news programmes and when not to?

Today both the ITV News at 6.30 and at Ten have had mid way breaks. Didn't see lunch news.

Most of the time they don't have ads, but every so often they seem to spring up.

Advert breaks within the news means there is either not enough news OR there have been higher viewing figures on that particular day, so they can maximise the audience of the advert.

Football
ITV News at 6.30 Always have adverts apart from when the late programme starts at 10.30 and that will have a break
Local news also has a break during football

I don't know why you strut about pretending to know it all. Your credibility (such as it is) is ruined when you spout such utter crap.

Not enough news, indeed Shocked

It's a perfectly reasonable theory. If you were placing a billboard, would you put it under a bridge facing the structure, or above the bridge facing the road?
